This walk has been designed to cover some of the best vantage points in the Illawarra while avoiding roads as far as possible. It is advisable to book on the 5.50 train, as otherwise seats are unlikely and admission to the train could be refused. Transport will be arranged to Jamberoo, and one week's notice is desirable. There will be over 3,000 ft of climbing and several miles of rough creek bed, including some small rock climbs. The object of this is to see some unspoiled stretches of rain forest. Wildflowers should still be good on the tops. If the weather is good there will be several swims in rock pools, and a spell in the surf before catching the train. This walk has been designed to cover some of the best vantage points in the Illawarra while avoiding roads as far as possible.
