For this month only I am editing the magazine - putting my computer where my mouth is - and attempting to show how the magazine may look in future editions. I have felt for some time that we should update the look of the magazine but in saying this I do not in any way denigrate the hard work and dedication that has gone into this most important club organ of news and views over the many years it has been published. | For this month only I am editing the magazine - putting my computer where my mouth is - and attempting to show how the magazine may look in future editions. Of the many people who have contacted either George Mawer or myself there seems to be a clear division between those who want the cover, paper and the layout to remain same and those who want to see a new cover, a more modern layout and better quality paper. As I was the one who set the feral cat amongst the Wonga Pigeons I felt that I should take over the August issue while George is having a well earned holiday in Queensland. My only intention in stirring the pot is to make sure that the club has the very best magazine to see us into the next century by which time I will have hung up my boots but the club will go marching on, stronger than ever. The last thing that I want is to cause is a schism between those opting for change and those who want to retain the status quo. | Of the many people who have contacted either George Mawer or myself there seems to be a clear division between those who want the cover, paper and the layout to remain same and those who want to see a new cover, a more modern layout and better quality paper.
