- | NEW ZEALAND’S NORTHLAND | + | by Brian Holden |
New Zealand is demarcated into demographic regions and not provinces as is often believed. Northland is the northernmost region and is that long finger of land sticking out from the top. At the end of 1997 I did a cycle tour spending the entire time in Northland. It’s an area Oz bushwalkers rarely, if ever, go near. The region does, however get plenty of tourists to its famous Bay of Islands. | New Zealand is demarcated into demographic regions and not provinces as is often believed.
